Biggest Update in Plypto History: Planet Shield, Backfire Array, and a Higher Withdrawal Floor

More than thousands captains answered our matchmaking survey. Some of you were earning too little. Defenses were not paying off. Battle now weights opponents by offensive level, the withdrawal floor is 0.0005 BTC, and Planet Shield and Backfire Array are 50% off for seven days.

More than thousands captains completed our matchmaking and earnings survey. That is not a quiet sample. We spent 70k+ protons to let you tell us, in public, what Battle has been getting wrong.

Two findings kept repeating — in the scored questions, and in the free-text answers sitting under them.

Some of you were earning too little

A raid is only as valuable as the Bitcoin sitting on the other planet. When the withdrawal floor is low, captains cash out early, radar cards thin out, and the captains who stay in the fight get matched into empty pockets.

Should we raise the withdrawal threshold so you are matched with players who have higher BTC balances? 86% said yes. It was closer than the first question, because the trade is real: you wait longer to cash out, but every hit on your radar is worth more.

We are making that trade.

Withdrawal floor: 0.0005 BTC

Effective immediately, the minimum withdrawal is 0.0005 BTC. That is five times the previous 0.0001 BTC floor. The number you see in Wallet is the number that prevails.

This is not a punishment. It is how we keep enough Bitcoin on the belt for raids to actually pay — and how we stop the meta from rewarding the fastest exit instead of the strongest planet.

Defenses were not paying off

The second finding was sharper. You have been pouring protons into walls that the matchmaker refused to respect.

Planet Shield and Backfire Array already occupy a large share of Plypto's combat layer. Every planet starts with a Shield. The Array is the counter-strike that answers a successful raid. Together they are supposed to be how a captain keeps what they earn.

They were not. Random matchmaking treated a maxed Shield the same as a naked planet: anyone could land on your card. Offense bought you better raids. Defense bought you hope. That is not a meta. That is a tax on the players who actually wanted to play for keeps.

What you actually asked for

The first question was not close.

Would you prefer skill-based matchmaking? Yes — 91%. Ninety-one percent.

You want matchmaking that pays more. And you do not want to be attacked by captains you cannot answer.

Read those two results together and the conclusion writes itself. We are revaluing a meta that was already sitting in the architecture — defensive infrastructure — instead of inventing a new layer on top of a game you already play.

The new rule: offense finds the fight. Defense protects you more.

From this rebalance forward, Battle weights your radar toward opponents of your offensive level. The algorithm still draws only from captains who hold withdrawable BTC — loot is the point of the deck — but proximity in strike power now carries the weight.

  • You are no longer sprinkled at random across the belt.

  • A heavier attack grants you access to the heavier attack grids — planets that, with the higher floor, also tend to be holding more BTC. But not only.

  • Defense does not change who finds you. Defense changes whether they leave with your Bitcoin.

That last line is the whole rebalance. If you want to stop being raided successfully, there is one honest answer, and it is the one captains asked for: invest in defensive infrastructure. Massively.

Planet Shield — the last roll that is yours

The Planet Shield is your last line. After the usual raid roll says the attacker would have won, the Shield gets an independent chance to reshuffle the cards and turn that win into a defended miss.

  • Every planet starts at level 1 (0.5%).

  • Each level adds another 0.5%, up to 50% at level 100.

  • At max, half of the raids that should have beaten you simply do not.

  • The second roll only ever helps the defender. It never turns a missed raid into a win.

A Shield does not make you invisible. It makes you expensive to crack. On a radar full of offensive peers, that is the difference between keeping a stack and feeding someone else's withdrawal.

Backfire Array — the answer they have to respect

The Shield absorbs. The Backfire Array answers.

When a raider actually takes BTC from you, the Array rolls to strike back automatically — no extra attempt, no cooldown burned. A hit takes a share of the raider's own withdrawable BTC. Their Shield still gets its roll, so retaliation is never free. And if your Array out-levels theirs, their counter-strike is suppressed when you raid them. Level superiority is absolute.

Attackers see the badge on your radar. They do not see the odds. A serious Array is a deterrent before it is a weapon.

Together, Shield and Array are the defensive stack Plypto was already built around. We are done treating them as optional cosmetics.

Why this pays players more

A higher floor keeps Bitcoin on the table. Offensive-weighted matchmaking puts you across from captains who can actually bleed. A defense-first meta means the captains who invest in keeping their stack… keep it.

The old loop was: build offense, hope you hit a fat planet, cash out before someone bigger hits you.

The new loop is: build offense to reach peers who are worth raiding. Build Shield and Array so those peers cannot farm you. Withdraw when the stack is real.

We think this rebalance pays more to players — not to the house.

Seven days at 50% off

To put the protons where the meta now lives, Planet Shield and Backfire Array are 50% off for seven days, starting 15 September 2026 and running through 22 September 2026.

Upgrade while the sale is live. The matchmaker is already watching your offense. Your defenses are how you survive what it sends.

Do this

  • Raise Planet Shield. Every half-percent is another chance the raid that would have emptied you does not.

  • Install and rank Backfire Array. Deterrence is public. The payout is private.

  • Spend the sale. The cost curve is geometric. Early levels during a 50% window are the cheapest they will be.

Don't do this

  • Don't stack offense and leave Shield at level 1. You just asked to be matched with people who hit as hard as you.

  • Don't cash out the second you touch the old floor. The new floor is how the radar stays worth opening.

  • Don't wait for the sale to end to "see how the meta feels." The meta is live.

We heard you

You were numerous. You were clear. Some of you were earning too little. Almost all of you wanted defenses to matter.

They do now.
